Hyderabad, 7th January, 2019: Memorial Afsar Naseem Khatoon Institute of Digestive Diseases (MANKInDD), was established in 2013 as an institute that caters to the needs of patients with digestive diseases. MANKInDD is a unit of SANDOZI HEALTH AND EDUCATION FOUNDATION (SHEF) which was established in memory of (Late) Dr Moinuddin Khan Sandozi, Professor and Head of the Department of Pathology, Gandhi and Osmania Medical Colleges, Hyderabad^
The gastrointestinal tract is home to some of the most deadly human diseases. Exacerbating the problem is the difficulty of accessing it for diagnosis or intervention and the concomitant patient discomfort. Flexible endoscopy has established itself as the method of choice and its diagnostic accuracy is high, but there remain technical limitations in modern scopes, and the procedure is poorly tolerated by patients leading to low rates of compliance with screening guidelines.
Dr. Chetan Mahajan, Dr. Ranjiv Chandel, Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Dr. Saniya, and Dr. Manisha and several other consultants at the hospital, treat patients with their knowledge and expertice in their respective fields. With their dedication and hard work, we have completed over 600 surgeries and more than 4100 procedures in less than 5 years at the hospital.
