Sekhar Kammula makes Tollywood proud, goes to Cannes

In a short period, Sekhar Kammula has gained prominence in Tollywood. The highest recognition now comes in the form of invitation from Cannes Film Festival. Yes! He is one among the six directors who have been selected to represent the India Pavilion in the international village. Others are Anurag Kashyap (Dev D), Dibakar Benarjee (Khosla Ki Ghosla), Anusha Rizvi (Peepli Live), Laximikant Shetgaonkar (Paltadacho Munis), and Haobam Paban Kumar (AFSPA 1958). Sekhar Kammula directed 5 films till date. They are ‘Dollar Dreams’, ‘Anand’, ‘Godavari’, ‘Happy Days’ and ‘Leader’.

11th May is the first day of the festival that ends on 22nd May during which National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) will facilitate interaction between these directors and the international filmmakers as well as the media.
