Please introduce yourself to the readers?
I was born and brought up in Kerala. I was a model before. I did six films in Bengali and acted in a Bengali webseries. Cinema is not new to me, but this is my first film in Telugu.

How did you get the opportunity in ‘Aatagallu’?
Last year, when I was modeling, I have acted for an music video in Bombay. Vishnu Deva was the choreographer. He has sent my photoshoot pictures to the makers of ‘Aatagallu’. Then I had a call-back. There were six rounds of auditions. They selected me for the role after making me to act in tough scenes and doing photoshoot with Rohith.

What is your role in the film?
I play Anjali, a independent and working lady, who loves hero in the film and she want to marry him. To sum up her character in single word - Anjali is a sincere lover.

This is your first film in Telugu film. Right? Did you see any Telugu movie before?
I have watched a few Telugu films that are dubbed into Bengali. I have watched super hit films like ‘Magadheera’, ‘Arya’, ‘Dhruva’, ‘Arundhati’ and ‘Baahubali series’ and many more. I really enjoyed the movie ‘Baahubali’. I loved it.

Do you find any difference between Telugu and Bengali cinema?
No, there is no much difference. We have to work hard to survive in any film industry. We have to be passionate about our work. Co-stars need good relationship and coordination. The only difference is, movies in Telugu are made in huge budget than that are in Bengali.

Tell us about the on-set experience with your co-stars Nara Rohith and Jagapathi Babu?
Both are very supportive in the sets. Nara Rohith and Jagapathi Babu’s characters will stand out as highlight for the film. The scenes which come between them will be interesting. Director Paruchuri Murali garu has carved out each and every frame wonderfully.

You are working for Telugu films. When do you start learning Telugu?
I can understand Telugu but I can’t speak. I will learn and next time I will speak with you only in Telugu.

Who is your favourite hero?
Shah Rukh Khan. I have seen almost all of his films. Prabhas is my favourite hero in Telugu. After watching ‘Baahubali’ I became big fan of him. Allu Arjun is also one of my favourite stars. I am a huge fan of director Rajamouli.
