Nani's innocent post after National Awards leads to trolling

Suriya's 'Jai Bhim' (Tamil) was thought to be one of the most serious contenders for a National Award in at least one prestigious category. Many are of the view that the film has been snubbed in favour of commercial cinema.

Natural Star Nani today took to Instagram and made his dejection clear. He suggested that he is feeling sad about Suriya's film scoring a duck.

However, his post has triggered trolls. They are accusing the 'Dasara' actor of "simping" for a Tamil film and indirectly making others think that Tamil movies with a message are somehow more valuable than Telugu films.

Recently, at an event of 'King Of Kotha', Nani described Dulquer Salmaan as the true pan-India actor. The fans of Prabhas and Allu Arjun trolled him at that time, considering these actors are considered the biggest pan-India stars from southern India.

But the trolls might be reading too much. Nani is a genuine movie buff who was probably moved by 'Jai Bhim'. There is nothing wrong with feeling disappointed as a film personality and a viewer.
