Back in 2021, director Shankar announced the Hindi remake of 'Aparichitudu' with Ranveer Singh as the hero. More than three years later, the filmmaker has been saddled with 'Indian 2', 'Indian 3' and 'Game Changer'.

The word in the town is that Ranveer Singh and Shankar have mutually agreed to move on. There is no question of the remake happening.

It is said that the Bollywood actor is miffed with the director for not going ahead with the project. He gave up on the film as an inevitability.

The original was produced by Tamil producer Aascar Ravichandran, who at that time, disputed that Shankar didn't have the right to remake the film in Hindi. In a long statement, the 'I' and 'Robot' maker at that time contested that he had the complete right to exploit the film the way he deemed fit because its "story was written by him".
