Trailer launch event of Arun Vijay starrer ‘Crime 23’ was held on April 13 in Hyderabad. Tollywood’s handsome hunk Prabhas graced the event and launched the trailer. Arun Vijay, who impressed audience as villain with ‘Bruce Lee’ and ‘Yenthavaadu Gaani’, is the son of veteran actor Vijay Kumar and Manjula. Presently, he is playing villain in Prabhas starrer ‘Saaho’. Now, Arun Vijay has played the lead role in Tamil crime thriller ‘Kuttram 23’ on Sri Vijaya Narasimha Films banner. Prasad Dharmi Reddy, Randhi Shankara Rao and Surapati Gandhi are jointly bringing the film to audience as ‘Crime 23’. Arivazhagan of ‘Vaishali’ fame is the director. Mahima Nambiar and Abhinaya are female leads. Smt. Arun Prasad Dharmireddy is presenter. Dubbing works of the film have been completed.
On this occasion, Prabhas said, “I had worked with Arun Vijay’s sister Sridevi in my first film ‘Eeshwar’. Now, I am working with Arun Vijay in ‘Saaho’. The trailer of ‘Crime 23’ is very impressive. I wish Arun Vijay will earn fame as hero and producers will earn good profits through this film.”
Addressing the gathering, hero Arun Vijay said, “‘Bruce Lee’ and ‘Yenthavaadu Gaani’ in which I played villain have earned good name to me as an actor. Currently, I working for Maniratnam garu’s ‘Nawab’ and Prabhas starrer ‘Saaho’. Recently I played lead role in a crime thriller ‘Kuttram 23’ and it has become big hit in Tamil. It is being released in Telugu as ‘Crime 23’. It’s a medical crime thriller blended with all elements like action, romance and family sentiment. Director Arivazhagan has carved out the film wonderfully. I played cop in the film. You will find a message also in the film. I am very happy that Prabhas has launched the trailer.”
Producer Indar Kumar said, “The film has become big hit in Tamil. I wish ‘Crime 23’ will become super hit in Telugu too.”
“The film was made based on the real incident that happened in Tamil Nadu. ‘Kuttram 23’ has become big hit in Tamil and grossed huge collections. Each and every scene will goes on in a suspense mode. Arun Vijay has given wonderful performance as cop. The film is loaded with all commercial elements along with a message. Vishal Chandrasekhar’s music and Bhaskaran’s cinematography are the highlights of the film. I am thankful to Arun Vijay garu for giving us the opportunity to release the film in Telugu. We are planning to make a straight Telugu film soon with him. I am very happy that Prabhas has unveiled the trailer,” said Prasad Dharmireddy, one of the producers of the film.
