Tanish Alladi, Paruchuri Ravi, Priya Singh, Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao, Shafi and Posani Krishna Murali as the lead cast, a new film titled Rangu is being made on U And I Entertainments banner with Nalla Swami as presenter. Karthikeya V is the director. A Padmanabha Reddy and Nalla Ayyanna Naidu are producers. The trailer launch event took place at Prasad Labs in Hyderabad on October 21. Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao launched the trailer.
Speaking on the occasion, hero Tanish said, “When I was in Bigg Boss House, trailer and three songs of Rangu were released. Trailer has garnered 1 million views and songs have got tremendous response. I play Lara, who stays in Vijayawada. In this film my age ranges from 15 years-old-teenager to 28 years guy. My role will have four variations. It’s a challenging role. There is no specific hero or villain role, it just has situational influences. Everyone will have good and evil. It depends on how we look at the situations. This is what we have showcased in the film. There’s a social message. Rangu will surely make everyone think. Working with wonderful actors and technicians like Sirivennela Sitarama Sastry, Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao, Shafi, Yogeswara Sharma and Paruchuri Ravi is a great experience.”
Director Karthikeya V said, “Read about an incident in newspaper and went to Vijayawada to meet Lara. This is how I developed the story of Rangu. Paruchuri Brothers helped me to keep the story realistic with added commercial elements as well. It’s a privilege to work with great writers. Tanish did commendable job in playing his role which his age spans from 15 years-old-teenager to 28 years guy. Great that I got the chance to meet producers A Padmanabha Reddy and Nalla Ayyanna Naidu through executive producer Chakri. It’s my privilege that I got the opportunity to work with passionate producers. Initially I don’t know that Yogeswara Sharma garu is Sirama Sastry garu’s son. I have listened to his song ‘Srikaram Chudutunnatlu…’. It’s my favourite. I am thankful to Paruchuri Ravi and Shafi and everyone in the team who supported me. I will be indebted to the film’s producers forever.”
Producer A Padmanabha Reddy said, “Our main aim to establish ‘U And I Entertainments’ banner is to encourage aspiring directors. 7 films are under production in our banner. The film depicts the youth’s responsibility towards society. I wish audience will encourage our attempt by making Rangu a big success.”
Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao, actor Shafi and producer Nalla Ayyanna Naidu too spoke at the event and wished for the success.
