Sri Sravanthi Movies latest production Classmates, starring Sumanth, Sharwanand, Sada, Kamalinee Mukherji, Ravi Verma and Sunil in the lead roles, was launched today, 16th November at Ramanaidu Studios. Directors E.V.V.Satyanarayana and S.V.Krishna Reddy sounded the clap board and switched on the camera, respectively. Classmates, a remake of a hit Malayalam movie, is being produced by Sravanthi Ravi Kishore and directed by Vijaya Bhaskar.

Hero Sumanth expressed his happiness on get another chance to work with the banner that gave him a hit film like Gowri.

Telling the same producer Ravi Kishore continued "the Malayalam version was a big hit and I am sure that the Telugu audiences will also appreciate the movie. Classmates is the story of reunion. It is the story of four classmates who meet each other after 10 years. People can easily identify with the characters".

Announcing that music director Koti will be composing six tunes for the movie, director Vijaya Bhaskar, who has hit movies like Nuvve Kavali and Nuvvu Naku Nachav to his credit, said "After Nuvve Kavali and Nuvvu Naku Nachav, Classmates will be my third film with Sravanthi Movies banner. Classmates has a very novel story and all the actors were chosen accordingly. Regular shooting will begin from the 6th of next month and we are hoping to release the movie by March 2007".
