The audio of Shankar, a Sri Tirumal Tirupathi Venkateswara Films production, starring Shashi Kanth and Manasa, directed by Madhu and produced by Chadalavada Padmavathi, was released on 8th December at Prasad Labs. Ace film producer D.Ramanaidu released the cassettes and presented the first unit to Chadalavada Tirupathi Rao.

D.Ramanaidu spoke "The Chadalavada brothers are known for their creative talents. I am sure that the music (by Vandemataram Srinivas) and the film itself will be very much appreciated by the audiences'".

"Hero Shashi Kanth has worked very hard for the film and he will definitely receive the audiences' appreciation and adoration with this film." Guest Achi Reddy said "director Madhu has worked as an associated for over 20 films under S.V.Krishna Reddy's direction. To choose a mass subject for his very first film shows how confident Madhu is".

"Vandematarm Srinivas has composed really good songs for the film. Three of the six songs were picturised in Kashmir, Delhi, Jodhpur and Chandigarh. Other than the script, the camera work is another highlight of the film. I am sure that this film will be a good beginning for Madhu." Hero Shashi Kanth said.
