Muvvas Imaginations (muvvasi), a Houston, Texas USA based film production company launched their first bi lingual (English and Telugu) feature film ‘Production 1’ on 23rd February 2008 at Sri Meenakshi Temple, Pearland, Texas USA. The event had prominent guests from Houston and family and friends to wish the cast and crew.

Mr. Malladi Venkat Krishnamuthy (famous Novelist & Movie writer) graced the function as Guest of honor. Dr. Chitten Raju Vanguri Member, Board of Trustees, ATA introduced the Cast and directed the fist shot. Mr. Prabhakar Choudary Kakarala, President of TANA, Inc. honored the occasion of the fist clap board. Mr. Bangar Reddy President India Culture Center, Houston, Texas USA switched on the camera.

Suren, first time writer & director, spoke about his production. He said this movie is a cool romantic entertainment family drama, and was pleased with the outcome of the script. Producing the script entailed long hours of reviewing and finalizing. He plans to give the same level of dedication to the direction of the movie.

Later, Dr. Deepa Producer & Ajay Vattikuti, Executive Producer thanked all guests for their presence at the event. They announced the schedules. The regular shooting will commence on March 9th and will be done in 3 schedules until May 2008. Post Production will be complete in June and the film would hit theaters by July 2008.

Synopsis

This is the story of an Indian doctor, Dr. Sam, who pushes his daughter Geetana to pursue education, so much so, that she ends up turning into a scientist who is fanatic about career growth and the world of Medicine. Anu, Dr. Sam’s Indian wife, worries that her daughter, due to her abnormal upbringing and imposed restrictions by her father, will not have the opportunity to lead a normal life. Geetana’s extreme systematic life style turn in to sore and worry to both parents and they really and truly wish their daughter to lead a normal life. Hence, to this end, Dr Sam and Anu search for an ideal, reliable, serious, Indian groom for Geetana. They think that a sober guy who is also undisciplined , disorganized, lazy but clever would be a perfect balancing influence on their Daughter.

Dr. Sam obtains Hari’s information from an Indian matchmaker, and then attempts to meet and get to know Hari so he can test his character. Dr Sam finds Hari to be a perfect match for his daughter and encourages him to get involved in Geetana’s life. As Geetana parents approve of Hari, the relationship between the two young people grows. Hari therefore proposes to Geetana, who, however, does not accept and tells Hari that she needs her parent’s presence and express blessing before she consents to going through this important event in her life. In the meantime, Dr.Sam and Anu are abroad, taking a trip. When Dr.Sam returns from India, he rejects Hari and asks his daughter to forget him.

What is the reason for Dr. Sam’s rejection of Hari? What is Geetana’s reaction to this turn of events - does she obey her father’s orders like a good, well-bred Indian girl? How does Hari react to the rejection? Does Anu hide her feelings as an Indian housewife is expected to do? Does Sam behave in typical Indian fashion?
