Logo launch - Raktha Charitra

Raktha Charitra, a film presented by Ram Gopal Varma was announced yesterday, September 28, at Poison Pub, Hyderabad. The film is jointly directed by the debutants who are also twin brothers Dharma and Raksha and produced on the banner One More Thought and Z3 Pictures. It is learnt that all the actors in the film are new comers. The film is being made on the back drop of Rayalaseema’s existing factionism and gained the attention consequent to the wide spread of rumours that RGV is making this film on the murdered leader Paritala Ravi gathering information from known sources from Rayalaseema.

Jagapathi Babu, the popular hero unveiled the logo written in blood red colour.

Speaking on the occasion Ramgopal Varma disclosed that though the film is made on the back drop of factionism, much importance is being given to the realities coupled with imaginary creation of the subject. He also said that the theme in this is a falsehood behind truth, and a truth behind falsehood, undoubtedly with a political backdrop also.

He further said that he had plans to do a film with this concept on the lines of Satya and Company (his bollywood films). Replying to the questions of the media personnel, he said that he has not approached any body to gather information for making this film. The film will be made with all the new faces to give the audience natural feel of the characters. He further expressed that the film will be shot in a realistic ambience. Finally he confessed that a fantasy action oriented film will be made by him in Telugu by next year.

Success meet – Raksha

A success meet was held at Poison Pub, Hyderabad for the film ‘Raksha’ presented by Ramgopal Varma.

Hero Jagapathi Babu, Baby Neha (Title role) Atulith, Subba Raju, Akella Vamsi Krishna, the director and Azam Khan, the producer attended the event.

Ramgopal Varma speaking on the occasion appreciated the entire unit members of ‘Raksha’ for making it a grand success particularly Azam Khan for coming forward to produce the film purely trusting on him. He announced with happiness that Baby Neha, the little child gave a splendid performance and even adults may not agree to do such roles. He also thanked the publicity team for their excellent posters of the film ‘Raksha’ which attracted the audience.

In an exciting way Ramgopal Varma retaliated to Jana Vignana Vedika, for the people who wanted a proof from him to prove the existence of black magic and also challenged Rs 10 lakhs as a bet if he will prove it. Ram Gopal Varma rebuffed and said that he will give Rs 20 Lakhs if they can ask the method of proving it?

Jagapathi Babu said that ‘Raksha’ is a family film and all sections of audience are happy with the film, particularly the women and children are the most who are viewing the film eagerly.

Baby Neha and Atulith thanked their trainees and said that they are happy to work with Ram Gopal Varma.

Vamsi Akella said that the film is filled with family sentiment, horror and devotion and asked the audience to see the film in that angle.

Actor Subbaraju said that the film is made on Bhayanaka rasam a welcome trend and the audience is coming forward to view such films.

Azam Khan expressed that he is happy to work with Ram Gopal Varma and it is his third film in series - first ‘Tingya’ a Marathi film, the second is ‘Phoonk’, a Bollywood film, and the third is ‘Raksha’ in Telugu.
