King Audio Release

The grand gala audio function of Akkineni Nagarjuna’s ‘King’ was held this evening among the huge gathering of Akkineni fans at BMC Balayogi Staduim, Gachibowli, Hyderabad. Dr Ramanaidu, Dr Akkineni Nageswara Rao, K Raghavendra Rao, Suresh Babu, Dil Raju, Sreenu Vytla, Siva Prasad Reddy, his son Chandhan Reddy, Amala, Trisha, Mamta Mohandas, Sumanth, Shushant, Jaya Prakash Reddy, Brahmanandam, Venu Madhav, Sunil, etc., were the prominent to grace the function.

Akkineni Nagarjuna, Trisha, Mamta Mohandas and Srihari starring ‘King’ is directed by successful director Sreenu Vytla and produced by Siva Prasad Reddy under Sri Kamakshi Kala Movies banner. Devisri Prasad composed the music while cinematography Prasad Moorella. Ramajogayya Shastry and Sahiti penned the lyrics. Audio will be marketed by Aditya Music.

The programme aptly named “King Mania” started with anchoring by simple and sober Suma giving the background of the King and its crew and cast.

Sreenu Vytla while speaking “Am conscious of the expectations of results after Anandam and my other successful projects and hence I felt my responsibility overloaded. This apart, Nag has a special place in the industry with heavy expectations from his fans. Infact, we felt very lonely on completion of the shooting as we all were working like a family throughout the schedules. While speaking on the audio, it is much better than the previous one with all corrections incorporated to match producer Siva Prasad’s expectations.” He did not forget to mention Naga Chaitnya and said that he would be eagerly waiting to do a movie with him. He further added that Rama Jogayya Sastry wrote all the songs except one which was by Sahiti.

Music director Devi Sri Prasad praised Nag fans saying that they seek more energy from Nag and his team. He proudly introduced his crew, the musician Krishna Prasad, Keyboard Kalyan, Uday kumar the Rhythm player, Sagar the Sound Engineer, Ilayaraja the Drummer, Santosh the Guitarist and Mani of Base Guitar. He, claiming himself to be DSP, consumed major time with his heroics. Throne like chair on the dais for Nagarjuna was the highlight during the performance of DSP.

Nag was received with thundering applause from the crowd. He addressed the audience as MY KINGS. He said “a movie is given the title based on the eligibility and level. You, my fans, have given that eligibility and level. King is not only just class suits. Do you want fight, dance and comedy? All are there but no tragedy. I thank all the fans and elders for gracing the occasion. December is a favourite month for all of us. Let us eagerly await the release of the movie like any other fan. He also had a message to pass that with the release of ‘King’, he desired to be called as KING instead of YUVA SAMRAT.

Later K Raghavendra Rao released the first Audio cassette and handed over to Victory Venkatesh. CD was released by Venkatesh and given to Nagarjuna.

Brahmandham while speaking said, “The entry of Third generation of Akkineni family into the film industry is not possible without a proper and solid foundation by ANR. I pay respects to one such great personality. Do you all accept the relationship between Chaitanya and Nag as father and son? No, it is difficult as they look like brothers. I wish all of them a great success. “Akkineni Zindabad”. Coming to the audio function and the movie, there is no need to speak about anybody, but the movie will speak for itself and its cast.”

Trisha and Mamta Mohandas thanked every one. Mamta also sang a line and made her presence felt as a capable singer too.

Naga Chaitanya’s grand introduction to the Audience

A documentary was screened on ANR and the continuity in three generations. There were specific mentions on ANR’s achievements, his record breaking movies and awards. The documentary also contained Nagarjuna’s ascent in the industry and Naga Chaitanya’s introduction. It ended with HAPPY BIRTHDAY – WE WELCOME YOU NAGA CHAITANYA.

ANR while speaking said” Siva Prasad Reddy is our family’s close friend and am happy to be a part of the Audio release of yet another successful project by him. I thank him and his son for organizing such a big function for Audio release. I never thought that my movie life will span 66 years and will have three generations contributing to the industry. I am proud of Nag’s contribution even after his education in USA and that of Akhil, Sumanth, Sushant and now Chaitanya. The crash course in Mumbai, teachings in Hollywood and Telugu classes are expected to make the birthday boy a successful and responsible one. We are giving you a trained product with “Nag” tag”. He also made fun of Trisha and her Varsham Dance.

Naga Chaitanya was given a special applause on his appearance. He spoke energitically and emotionally saying “Now I understand why our family elders made me wait for two years before making this grand gala introduction. I seek the support from industry, friends, media and all elders. This is my first birthday. An emotional birthday. I now feel responsible”. He was blessed by Ragavendra Rao, Rama Naidu and Nimmagadda Prasad. Later he blew the candle and cut a cake. He was lucky to have his two grandfathers by his side in this happy occasion.

Chaitanya's grandfather Ramanaidu said, “Today is a happy occasion. ANR’s contribution is not questionable. In the same way, I wish Naga Chaitanya to become a superstar in days to come”.

“I wish Chaitanya, my boy all the best. You all brought me to this stage. Please extend the same co-operation to Naga Chaitanya also”, said overwhelmed father Nagarjuna.

“It is a wonderful occasion. I request you all to support and encourage Chaitanya to do all types of roles,” said Chaitanya's uncle Venkatesh.

K Ragavendra Rao also spoke and wished all the best to Naga Chaitanya.

Shobi Master and team, Amma Rajsekhar’s folk loaded dance performance followed the Comedy show by Comedians Srinivas Reddy, Venu and Sunil also were part of the programme.

The music release programme ended with a happy note.
