Nandamuri Balakrishna’s 99th film titled ‘Dictator’ was formally launched at Ramanaidu Studios in Hyderabad. Anjali is playing the female lead role in the film which is being directed by Sriwass under Eros International banner. Boyapati Srinu played the clap boy and B Gopal switched on the camera while K Raghavendra Rao put on the director's cap for the muhurat shot. Later a press meet was held.
Speaking at the film launch, Nandamuri Balakrishna informs, “’Dictator’ is a very energetic title. Story will be perfectly apt to the title. Anjali plays a key role. I hope director will carve out the film in such a way that it will rewrite the past records. He film is being made with the concept that the weapon which gives life is more important than fear which cause death. My character will justify the concept. I have been wanting to work with Sriwass since long time and now it happened through this film. I’m working with excellent artists and technical team. I’m sure the film will become big like my past three film.”
“Till now I’ve done the roles which will reach family audience. My role in this ‘Dictator’ is totally away from all the roles which I’ve done till now. I consider myself lucky to get the opportunity to act with Balakrishna,” said Anjali.
On this occasion, Sriwass shared, “My father loves Nandamuri heroes. He has a desire that I should direct Nandamuri heroes. ‘Dictator’ was commenced with that determination. I’ve been wanting to work with Balakrishna from the time of ‘Lakshyam’ and it happened now. I consider myself lucky that apart from directing I’m working as a co-producer for this film. When Balayya impressed with the story and accepted to work with me for his 99th film, I felt that it’s a huge responsibility. Balayya will appear in different shades. The film will impress Balayya fans and it can be watched by the whole family together.”
Speaking on the occasion, Kona Venkat said, “We consider it as a biggest challenge to work for this film. Title is perfectly apt to the story. Hero characterization will goes on in a humorous mode.
