Surya and Anushka starrer ‘Yamudu’ is the Telugu dubbed version of Tamil block buster ‘Singham’. This film is slated to hit theaters under Studio Green banner on July 2nd throughout Andhra Pradesh. Regarding this a press meet was organised at Celebrations Hotel in Hyderabad. Surya, Anushka, writer Sahiti, Nizam distributor Abhishek and producer Gnanavel Raja attended the press meet.
Surya while speaking, “I thank the Telugu audience for receiving my films well. This is my 25th film and third film under Hari’s direction. We released this film in Tamil with 550 prints which is still running in theaters. The President of Theater Associations called me over phone and wished me for the film still running successfully. I’m feeling nice when people are watching and appreciating it. Even the police who watched the film have appreciated. I played the police cop who comes from a village to city. The fight scenes between hero and villain are the highlights. I’m a fan of Anushka, hence is happy to work with her. Producer Gnanavel Raja is my cousin and he is releasing this movie in Telugu on July 2nd.”
Addressing the media Anushka said, “I’ve not seen the Tamil version of this film and just now saw the Telugu version. I never got a feel that I was watching a dubbing film. On this occasion I thank my director Hari and producer Gnanavel. ‘Singham’ is a good commercial film and was a huge hit. The director presented the film in style. Devisri Prasad’s music was the biggest asset. And not to speak of Surya’s performance! This is my third film in Tamil. I play a girl who remains idle at home after completing her college. The director designed my role in an impressive manner. My family shifts from a village to the city. I am proud to be part of this film. Even though I do films in other languages, Telugu is my first priority.”
Nizam distributor Abhishek informed, “We are releasing this film in Nizam area. And we are planning to release this film in 100 centers.”
Lyricist Sahiti said, “There are altogether six songs in ‘Yamudu’. All songs appear as original songs and are trendy as well. The words have been set according to the lip movements. The tunes rendered by Devisri are very inspiring, especially the song ‘Na Hrudayam Eragadhu Idhi Varaku’.”
Producer Gnanavel informed that this is his 3rd film in Telugu and that ‘Yamudu’ is a commercial entertainer releasing on July 2nd throughout AP.
