Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Rakta Charitra’ is all set to hit screens in Telugu and Hindi on October 22nd. In this regard RGV organized a press meet at Prasad Labs in Hyderabad and spoke about his film. In this programme Vivek Oberoi, C Kalyan, Chinna Vasudeva Reddy and Raj Kumar have participated.

Addressing the media at the press conference Ram Gopal Varma said, “Every one are predicting on their own way about the film. All their doubts about the film will be cleared on October 22nd. This is quite different from the movies that I’ve filmed so far, including the film ‘Company’ on mafia backdrop. There is lot of physical violence in this film. Every emotion in every frame has come out very well. Now speaking about the story, when faction is occurred between two persons both of them think that they are right. So no character has been degraded in the film. I’ve neither portrayed a hero nor a villain because both of them feel that they are heroes the other is a villain. Regarding the film ‘Rakta Charitra’, I believed the persons who witnessed the incidents and then developed the story based on what they have said to me. I cannot guarantee that they have said the truth. Similarly I cannot say that what I’m going to show in this film is true. One cannot find beautiful songs with colorful clothes, family sentiments and comedy in this film. This is a complete faction film. Vivek Oberoi aptly suited the role and did more than what I expected. During the making of this film I got associated with Anantapur district. Therefore I’m planning to watch this film there only along with my entire team members.”

Vivek Oberoi while speaking, “I’m very happy to get introduced to the Telugu audience through this film. I like Telugu films and I watched ‘Magadheera’ a lot of times. We get to watch quality films in Telugu. I came to know about the person, the character Pratap Ravi I portrayed in the film, only after I heard the story from Ram Gopal Varma. There is lot of energy in that character and I did it according to director’s instructions.”

C Kalyan, who is distributing ‘Rakta Charitra’ in Andhra Pradesh said that he is very lucky to get the opportunity to release one such film. He said, “Vivek’s body language has aptly suited the role he played. The film is sure to make the audience glued to their seats from start to end. If ‘Shiva’ was the first emotional film directed Ram Gopal Varma, ‘Rakta Charitra’ would surpass that from day after tomorrow. Ram Gopal Varma is now going to face the audience with two knives, three axes and five guns. I’ve been associated with the characters in this film in real life, so I’m thrilled to watch them on screen.”
