Nagavalli PM

Victory Venkatesh’s latest release ‘Nagavalli’ collected Rs 13 crores and is being screened successfully in theaters across Andhra Pradesh and Chennai as well. In this regard a Venkatesh cut the cake at Ramanaidu studios on Saturday and spoke to the media.

He said, “Initially when we thought of the story ‘Nagavalli’, we were not very sure of it because of its unique storyline. But the audience are receiving it quite well. I’m very happy to note that the film had huge openings in all centers. We have reached our target audience. Due to its negative touch, the Raju character appeared fresh to the audience, hence they are receiving it very well. I really consider myself lucky to do variety roles. As per the story demand, we took enough care to picturise the songs without regular duets in foreign locations and romantic track as well. I can never forget Rajnikanth’s encouragement. When I decided on this film I met him. He then told me to do the film according to my body language and style. After watching the film he called me commented, ‘Venky, your performance is terrific. You are sure to get more female fans after this film.’”

Speaking further he said, “My father became a little emotional after watching this film, hugged me tight and congratulated me. That was an unforgettable moment in my life. I’m very happy two get two hits in 2010 – ‘Namo Venkatesa’ in the beginning of the year and ‘Nagavalli’ in end of the year.”
