Jagapathi Babu’s birthday celebration was held in a grand manner at Prasad Labs by the ‘Chattam’ team on Saturday. He cut the cake and celebrated his birthday amidst his friends, producers, directors, well wishers and of course his fans. The function was attended by Jagapathi Babu, Natti Kumar, N Shankar, Devi Prasad, RK Siva Nageswara Rao, ‘Key’ director Nagendra Prasad and the unit of ‘Jai Bolo Telangana’.
Natti Kumar offered his birthday wishes to the actor and said, “My association with Jagapathi Babu is a special one. The first film in our combination is ‘Chattam’ and it is releasing on February 26th. I’m very happy to launch yet another film soon. Jagapathi Babu is the producers’ hero who is ready to do 10 films a year. By doing this he will be providing the daily bread to thousands of families which they will always be grateful to him. If every hero does the same then the number of dubbing films will reduce.” He also announced that Jagapathi Babu’s 100th film will be under his banner only.
N Shankar said, “If we have to talk about Jagapathi Babu, it’s liking talking about the second phase of Telugu industry. I wanted to do a film with him right from the beginning of my career. While doing ‘Jai Bolo Telangana’ I felt only Jagapathi Babu is the aptly suitable person for the role he played in the film. I figured out that he can only do justice to that character. And when I approached him he too instantly agreed to do it saying that as an artist he would do different characters. As per the formalities, all heroes take their remuneration before the dubbing. But he gave his dubbing even when I could not pay him the remuneration before dubbing. He is one such hero who works for producers. I offer my birthday wishes to him on this occasion.”
Jagapathi Babu said, “I thank our family, friends, media, film industry and my fans on this occasion. The fans share their love selflessly. I did movie with everyone who are present on the dais. Regarding ‘Jai Bolo Telangana’, Shankar approached me saying that he wanted to do this film at any cost even though he has no money. Hence I could not reject his offer. Now I’m also very happy to note the success of the film. Our Andhra people are kind hearted and they always accept the mistakes if done. I’m very happy for having done this film. Now regarding ‘Chattam’, everyone knows aggression in the film. I killed Kasab in the film. I’m ready to give my call sheets through out the year for Visaka Talkies. Despite hits and flops I do not mind doing films with anyone. Yes! I want to do atleast 10 films a year. RK is my childhood friend. My next film ‘Black Money’ is on swiss bank backdrop.”
