Kolimi Muhurat

Charitra Creations’ ‘Kolimi’ starring Shivaji in central role was launched today at Telangana Bhavan. G Uma Parvathy and P Lavanya Reddy are jointly producing the film with Nagendra as director. TRS President K Chandrasekhar Rao graced the launching event and sounded the clap board while member of TRS political bureau Sunitha switched on the camera and N Shankar directed the muhurat shot on Shivaji.

Later addressing the media Shivaji said, “I’m playing the role of a P.G student. The story is on Telangana movement backdrop. This is a thought provoking film with a good message without hurting anyone’s feelings. I couldn’t do ‘Jai Bolo Telangana’ due to dates problem. My wish was to act in Gaddar’s song. At times I feel if such great intellectuals will ever be born. I never miss his television programmes. Some of the incidents that he portrays in the show remind me of my childhood days. This movie will definitely turn to be a good film.”

Character artist Sakuntala said, “I’m playing a very powerful character in ‘Kolimi’. The dialogue writer said that he penned very good dialogues for me. I received many awards for Telananga mandalam in the past. I’m very confident about the film’s success.”

Music director Anurag Babu expressed his confidence over the film and said that he would provide good music to the film. He also expressed his happiness for getting the opportunity to compose music for KCR’s song.

Producer Lawanya Reddy said that she came forward to produce this movie only because she felt sad for those students who sacrificed their lives in Telangana movement.

Director Nagendra said, “We are facing this Telangana problem for the past 60 years. The main plot of this film is the deaths of many students in Telangana movement. The film tells why the students had to sacrifice their lives and why people desire for Telangana. But our intention is not to hurt anyone’s feelings. This movie will certainly not be a controversial film.”
