Raghava Lawrence’s ‘Kanchana’ is all set to release on July 15th. As part of film promotion a press meet was held in Cinemax on July 9th in which Lawrence and Bellamkonda Suresh participated.
Addressing the media Lawrence said, “After ‘Don’, ‘Kanchana’ is my next directorial venture. I’m very happy to hear that the producer earned profits even before the film’s release. I’m also happy to get a good producer in Telugu. The audience would enjoy this film just like they enjoyed ‘Chandramukhi’ and ‘Arundathi’. The film would thrill the audience just like the trailer they are watching now. I’m going to appear in a unique get-up in this film. I’m confident that this film will run more successfully than my previous films. Ramanarayana garu also deserves credit for the film’s best output. The audience would never turn up to theaters unless the film is extraordinary. The audience will experience fear and comedy till climax. I will appear in a lady get-up in the climax scene. Even though I’m basically a dance master, every film of mine need not be on dance backdrop. The character I played in this film will resemble with that of mine in ‘Muni’ film. Apart from the character being shown in trailers, I’m playing three more characters.”
Bellamkonda Suresh said, “Kanchana starring Raghava Lawrence, which is also directed by him is simultaneously made in Telugu and Tamil languages. This film belongs to horror genre. First half of the film is filled with horror elements while the second half flows with sentiment. The Telugu version will be released on July 15th and the Tamil version on 22nd. The trailers are getting very good response. After a very long gap I earned table profit through this film. My first film ‘Sambayya’ earned me profits only after few days of film’s release. I’m lucky to produce this film on my banner. I was confident about Lawrence as a director. ‘Kanchana’ will be released with 87 prints in Nizam area and the rest of Andhra Pradesh in 210 centres.”
