Press Meet: Eega Team donates 22 Lakhs to Project 511

SS Rajamouli’s ‘Eega’ was a grand success in India and abroad in all three languages – ‘Naan Ee’ in Tamil and ‘Eecha’ in Malayalam. The 1st weeks box-office collections also surpassed Hollywood’s sensational movie ‘The Amazing Spiderman’ and the Bollywood’s ‘Bol Bachchan’ which is also running in theaters with super hit talk. So having earned huge profits from this graphical extravaganza, the filmmaker decided to donate some portion of profits to Project 511 which is working for the betterment of education in 511 government schools. Therefore, the team of ‘Eega’ today donated Rs 22 lakhs to two mobile labs and few hundred benches. Rajamouli claimed that he was impressed by their structure and commitment that he used it in his ‘Eega’. Project 511 supplies basic necessities like furniture, blackboards and toilets in government schools for better infra-structure and quality education for the poor children. It’s maintained by the Hyderabad Round Table No.8 (HRT 8) Charitable Trust is associated with Government Schools in Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy district.
