Damarukam Press Meet

Nagarjuna-Anushka’s socio-fantasy film ‘Damarukam’ is hitting screens worldwide on November 23rd. RR Movie Makers produced this prestigious movie with Srinivas Reddy as its director. Devisri Prasad provided the music. Nagarjuna organised a press meet to tell why the movie could not be released as per the earlier scheduled time.

Addressing the media Nagarjuna said, “When I’ve been to Kakinada recently to attend a progress recently, I was a little worried on how to face the people in regard to the release of the film. But I told them what had struck in my mind at the moment that with blessings and order by Lord Shiva, we are releasing the film now. I had to face on such situation for the first time in my 26 years of film career. Yet I’ve no regrets because we are confident about our film. Sometimes it makes me think that it got delayed only to get released in Lord Shiva’s favourite month Karthika masam. I thank Dasari Narayana Rao garu, Alankar Prasad garu and my friend Sivaprasad Reddy for making efforts to release the film. Similarly Prakash Raj also came forward and offered his help. This delay had thought me to be patient and trust people. On the other the buyers are very confident about the film. Three of them were ready to buy this film till Tuesday night though my fans were very disappointed. Nevertheless I swear that the movie will not disappoint the audience. Srinivas Rao directed the film in an outstanding manner. I know how desperate Venkat garu was to release this film. One should have guts to make a film of this kind. Our industry requires producers like him.”

Speaking further he said, “I recently learnt that movies made on Shiva backdrop will face lot of hurdles. However we have overcome all them and releasing the film on 23rd. We are very confident that our film will have more family audience. ‘Damarukam’ will be a visual feast to all movie lovers.” Nag concluded saying, had I been a producer or a buyer of this film I would have definitely released it at this moment.
