Chandi Muhurat

A female centric movie titled ‘Chandi’ starring Priyamani in title role was launched today at Ramanaidu Studios in Hyderabad. To be directed by V Samudra and to be produced by Dr. Srinu Babu G under Omix Creations banner, Darsakaratna Dasari Narayana Rao tapped the clap board for the muhurat shot while Dr D Ramanaidu switched on the camera and Sunil directed the first shot.

Later in the press meet V Samudra said, “Chandi is the film based on the real life incidents of those affected due to sages. The story revolves around a young woman and how she turns into a political leader. Priyamani is doing the title role that has three different dimensions. It’s a revenge kind of story. It’s the first film for the producers. We are planning to shoot the film in single schedule continuosly for 3 months and release it during summer.”

Priyamani said, “This is the first time to do this kind of role. I was impressed with the story. Hence I agreed to do the film. Chandi is a heroine oriented film on revenge backdrop. I’m very happy to work with Samudra garu. This movie will be a plus to my career. The story is interesting and the film showcases how a comman woman turns into a commanding woman.”

Producer Dr Srinu Babu G said, “I’ve great passion for movies. Hence I stepped into this field to do good movies. Samudra garu narrated me a good story and he worked on this script for about 7 months. I would definitely make the film with good production values without compromising anywhere as per his filming.”

Music director Shankar said, “I worked as a keyboard player for many big films in Mani Sharma’s band. I’m very happy to turn music director through this film.”

Writer Babji said, “I worked as story assistant for Vijaya Shanti movies. I’m confident that ‘Chindi’ would be the best film in the category of woman oriented films. The director is going to deal with all current burning problems.”
