Guna Team Works has launched its prestigious film ‘Rudramadevi’ on 14th February at 12.22 AM in Warangal 1000 Pillars temple. This is India’s 1st historical streoscopic 3D film to be produced and directed by Guna Sekhar with Rana and Anushka with lead roles.
Director Gunasekhar said, “The muhurat shot was 900 years old period scene showing off the heritage of Kakatiya’s1000 pillars temple. We chose this location for the muhurat because it depicts heritage of Kakatiya dynasty. Today being the auspicious day Panchami and1,50,000 weddings having took place, we have launched the film today considering it as the best muhurat day. Regular shooting will be done from April in the sets designed by Padmasri Thota Tarani. The film will be made with the ensemble cast along with Anushka as Rudramadevi and Rana as Chalukya Veerabhadra. We have already done the test shoot with 3D camera in Germany. The film will be made with great visual effects with the support of international technicians. My life-time wish to make the film ‘Rudramadevi’ is finally being fulfilled for which I’m very happy. I’m sure this movie which is being made as India’s first historical stereoscopic 3D film will impress the audience.”
Anushka said, “I was very inspired by the ‘Rudramadevi’ story when Gunasekhar garu narrated it to me. Hence I decided to do this film. To get this kind of roles is a rare opportunity. I learnt horse riding and knife fighting also as it's essential for this role. ‘Rudramadevi’ will be a milestone film in my career. I’m very happy that my wish to act under Gunsekhar’s direction is finally getting fulfilled.”
Rana said, “I’m very fond of historical and mythological films. I even keep practicing dialogues from those films.
