Thatha Manavadu 40 Years Celebrations

Darsakaratna Dasari Narayana Rao has successfully completed 40 years of his film journey as director on 23rd March. The filmmaker who has so far directed more than 140 films, made his directorial debut with ‘Thatha Manavadu’ with which he saw his first success. The film featured SV Ranga Rao and Raja Babu in title roles and the film turned out to be a blockbuster and also won the prestigious Nandi Award. He introduced Raja Babu to Telugu film industry who eventually became a top comedian.

On the eve of this auspicious day, Dasari has been congratulated by his family members and his assistants. He has made the day as one of sweet memories in his life by cutting a cake in the presence of 'Thatha Manavadu' team, family members and his assistants while he has handed over the shields to that film technicians.

Kaikala Satyanarayana, Jagan Mohan, Rama Krishna Prasad, Vishnu, Chakra Pani, Chitti Babu, Ananth, Bobby and SVR has participated in the event.

Dasari said, “Present generation should learn disciplinary from us and one should be down to earth in nature. My first producer Raghava garu had trusted me a lot and I will be grateful to him in my lifetime. This movie doesn't have any hero, story plays the lead role in it. C.Narayana Reddy had given wonderful lyrics in which I like the song ‘Anubandham Athmeeyatha Antha Oka Bootakam.....' mostly. C.Nare had penned lyrics to me for almost 100 movies and single card for 40 films. I had been very happy at that time for bagging a hit with my debut film. Sri Vidya also made her acting debut with the film."

C.Narayana Reddy said, "I have been remembering those days when Dasari retrieved about today's importance. Ramesh Naidu had given awesome music where he patted me to give beautiful lyrics. We all know the value of relations and we have proved it by getting together on this memorable day."

Krishnam Raju said, "I have my affection with Dasari from the time of ‘Tuglaq’. He narrates story differently which stoles the hearts of everyone and I whole heartedly wish him to complete 200 films."

Rama Naidu said, "This film created history and Dasari is a straight forward person who expresses his doubts frankly."
Jaya Sudha said, "My guru should reach his target of 200 movies. I have teamed up him for 28 projects and I wish to complete 50 movies under his direction."
