Baadshah Success Meet

‘Baadshah’ has proved NTR as real Baadshah opening with the sensational box-office collections in India and abroad. This NTR-Kajal starrer directed by Srinu Vaitla and produced by Ganesh Bandla on Parameshwara Art Productions banner has taken the entire unit on cloud nine with the mind-blowing success. On this occasion a success meet was held on Monday evening in Hyderabad where the entire unit celebrated it with a happy mood.

Speaking at the success meet NTR said, “When I heard about ‘Baadshah’ reports, I felt like this moment should stop like this forever. It’s impossible to express this kind of happiness. It’s the biggest success in my career. Sreenu Vaitla said that I was very patient for a year. But it’s his dedication and hardwork which gave me this patience. I never felt that there is no future for me in the industry if this film is not successful because I’ve the blessings of my parents and my grandfather. Our journey began with this project last March. After ‘Dammu’ I did not take up any project and was sitting idle. At that juncture Sreenu Vaitla came up with six different stories – each having its own specialty. But the last story which he narrated appeared like he mixed elements from rest of the stories and formed a new story. And after that there was no stopping. We finalized it and ‘Baadshah’ began. Sreenu always has fear in him and that fear is making him always be on the success track. His films remind me of Jandhyala. My mother likes Jandhyala a lot. We still maintain his CDs at home. It’s a gift to make everyone laugh and Sreenu is working in that mode. Few spoken words turn true. Right from the beginning of this project Ganesh Bandla has been telling that the film is a block-buster and it looks like his words have reached God. I wish his success should always continue in the same range. Guhan is neither fast nor slow but he mesmerized with lights while I was dance with single movement steps. I want to work with him again. Harish Shankar said that Kajal and I are hit pair. Hence I want to repeat this combination too. Chalasani Rama Rao garu is a great fan of my grandfather. Ramajogayya Sastry is also a great fan of my grandfather. Therefore with respect on him, he pens special songs for me. Similarly Vishwa wrote superb title song. Sekhar master and Prem Rakshit choreographed good steps. Vijay master needs no introduction. He becomes restless even when I get a small hurt. I became nervous when Sreenu Vatila asked me to do the role of Justice Chowdary. However I was able to do only with his encouragement. Even now I get nervous when I see myself in that role. I’m surprised to note that my films have demand in America too. Whatever I did in this film is only Sreenu Vaitla’s creativity. Director is always a director and artist is an artist.”

When asked about his political controversy he became emotional and said, “This is not the right time to talk about that. I’m presently enjoying the success of ‘Baadshah’. I request you (media) all not to pull me into this controversy and mess up my happy mood. My grandfather’s blood is passing though my veins. So as long as I live I’ll only serve Telugu Desam Party because it has been established by him. I’ve been repeatedly telling that I’ll spend eternity with my parents and honor my grandfather as long as I live.”

Sreenu Vaitla said, “I’m moved by NTR’s attitude. He is very down-to-earth and just followed what I said on the sets despite being a big star. He blindly believed me and did what I wanted without asking any questions. There is no ego problem with him. Ganesh was desperate to make ‘Baadshah’ a blockbuster movie. He never gave a budget limit and asked me to proceed with what I wanted. Sometimes I used to think if I could reach the standard to what he was spending on the film. We went to Switzerland on wrong time. I like cold weather but couldn’t bare that cold there. NTR struggled for Bantipula Janaki. Kajal is a dedicated artist. I thank my entire team on this occasion.”

Producer Bandla Ganesh said, “Baadshah is jumping in Ceded area, dancing in Nizam, roaring in Guntur and stamping in Krishna. Overall ‘Baadshah’ is rocking across AP. NTR’s cooperation for this film is unforgettable. He worked for seven Sundays giving his personal time too. Sreenu Vaitla did this project with his soul. We have reached our goal of making a great film.”

Kajal said, “I can’t forget the shooting period of this film. I feel very happy about it. It’s very comfortable to work with Tarak.”

Dil Raju said, “We have celebrated the success of ‘Baadshah’ in NTR’s house two days before its release. We were so confident about the film’s hit. There is repeat audience for second half of the film. I could see the happiness in Tarak’s face.”

Ramajogayya Sastry said, “I enjoy writing songs for Tarak. Sreenu Vatila has been encouraging me right from the beginning. I’m aware of Thaman’s working style. He gave over eight tunes for the last song. His re-recording work is excellent.”

Fight master Vijay, Cameraman Guhan, lyricist Vishwa, choreographer Sekhar, writer Gopi Mohan, Gopi Achanta, Upendra, overseas distributor Sudhakar, prakash, Praveen, Chalasani Rama Rao and other unit members also attended the success meet.
