Gautamiputra Satakarni Muhurat

Nandamuri Balakrishna's 100thmovie ‘Gautamiputra Satakarni’ was launched at a grand event at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad on Friday i.e. on April 22. Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) has graced the event. This prestigious film is being jointly produced by Saibabu Jagarlamudi and Y Rajeev Reddy under the banner, First Frame Entertainments with Bibo Srinivasa Rao as presenter. Krish is the director.

Telangana Chief Minister KCR sounded the clap board for the muhurat shot which was canned on Nandamuri Balakrishna, while Megastar Chiranjeevi switched on the camera and Victory venkatesh has operated it. Darsakarathna Dasari Narayana Rao garu has directed the first shot.

Speaking at the film launch event, KCR said, “It’s a great thing that Balakrishna has chosen the historical story ‘Gauthamiputra Satakarni’ for his 100th film. It’s the story of 2nd century Satavahana ruler Gauthamiputra Satakarni. I wish the film will remain in Telugu audience hearts forever. I wish all the best to Balakrishna. I wish Balakrishna’s 100th film ‘Gauthamiputra Satakarni’ will run successfully for 200 days. During the days when Telugu people were called as Madrasis, NTR garu has reminded Telugu people that there is Telugu state. Few people objected when Ambedkar statue was established. I confidently say that NTR Ghat will remain forever in Hyderabad. NTR will remains forever in Telugu people’s heart. I request Balakrishna to arrange the show to watch the film with my family members along with prominent people of the film industry like Chiranjeevi and Venkatesh and on the same stage after completion of the film.”

Megastar Chiranjeevi said, “100th films means it is very precious. Balakrishna has chosen the story of ‘Gauthamiputra Satakarni’ and it is his first achievement. I wish the film will stand out as most prestigious film in Balakrishna’s career. The film is being directed by Krish and it means it is a sure shot success. It is beyond doubt that Balakrishna will entertain everyone in ‘Gauthamiputra Satakarni’ role. I wish the film will celebrate golden jubilee.”

“I wish ‘Gauthamiputra Satakarini’ will run successfully for 200 days in hundred theaters,” said Victory venkatesh.

On this occasion, Darasakaratna dasari Narayana said, “It’s a great thing that Balakrishna has chosen first Telugu king ‘Gauthamiputra Satakarni’ as his 100th film. It is the story of the king who had ruled 33 kingdoms. It’s a great thing that Krish has got the idea to make the film and Balakrishna too accepted to act in this. I wholeheartedly wish that Balakrishna will create records through this film.”

Hero of the film Balakrishna said, “I gone through several scripts for my 100th films, but those will not reach the range of my 100th films. My father NTR played versatile roles. I too have quest to play versatile roles. Krish came up with a different script and therefore I accepted. Many people don’t know about the story of ‘Gauthamiputra Satakarni’. He born in Kotilingaalu in Telangana and ruled the country with Amaravati as the capital. Many people are researching and working on the script. I entered into the film industry in the year 1973. My parents’ blessings are always with me. Telugu audience admiration is my strength. I am dedicating this film to my fans and mothers in India. There is no value for the life without aim and emotion. Gauthamiputra Satakarni and I have most similarities.”
