Sundeep Kishan, Rakul Preeth Singh starer ‘Venkatadri Express’ directed by debutant Merlapaaka Gandhi has successfully completed its shooting part. Gemini Kiran is producing this film on Anandhi Art Creations banner. Raman Gogula is rendering music, the audio CDs of which were released at Ramanaidu Studios in Hyderabad today. VV Vinayak released the first CD and presented it to Chota K Naidu. Theatrical trailer was released by Harish Shankar and TV promos by Dil Raju and Bellamkonda Suresh.
Later addressing the gathering VV Vinayak said, “Songs are trailers are good. I could feel that Gandhi is talented after seeing his confidence. I like Ramana Gogula’s songs in ‘Lakshmi’ very much. He rendered good music for this film too. I wish Sundeep gets a good break with this film.”
Sai Kumar said, “Sundeep’s journey which started with ‘Prasthanam’ is proceeding successfully. Songs are interesting. I wish this film will be a safe and successful journey for this team.”
Gopichand Malineni commented, “Every frame in the film has been picturised excellently. Gandhi is lucky to get a good team for his very first film.”
Harish Shankar said, “I got inspired by Gandhi’s short film and thought of working with him for my film. However, I learnt that he is already into direction. Gandhi is the son of writer Merlapaaka Murali, who used to write great stories in Swathi magazine. So his talent needs not be mentioned specially. Story is excellent. Trailers are superb. Chota’s work is same for any film. We worked together for ‘Ramayya Vasthavayya’. But unfortunately I could deliver a hit. Gandhi is lucky to work with the best team. The media is complaining that no good films are being made. So these kind of films need more encouragement.”
Dil Raju said, “This is a one night story that occurs during the journey between Kachiguda to Tirupathi. Songs and trailers tell the director’s talent. Sundeep is going on the right path by doing all kind of roles. Ramana Gogula composed music after a very long gap. My best wishes to the unit members.”
Tammareddy Bharadwaja said, “All films on Anandhi Arts banner are super hits. Songs and trailers of this film appear curious. The director did a fantastic job despite being his first film. Ramana Gogula’s music is excellent even though he did after a long gap. My best wishes to the team.”
Chota K Naidu said, “Sundeep grew up with craze on films. I never encouraged him into films when he showed interest. I joined him in Gautham Menon’s direction department when he wanted to become a director. Later he said that he wanted to become a hero. But I never bothered much about him. After a year or so, he told me that he acted in a movie. I was shocked. Since four years, he has been asking me to be the DOP for his film.So I told him if I like a story I will definitely do. So he came along with this director and story one day. I was impressed by the story. So we spoke with Kiran and started the shooting within one week. We selected a good team. Ramana gave good music. The director also worked obediently and did the film with a good story. The audio as well as the film will entertain the audience.”
Sundeep Kishan said, “Right from my childhood I’m crazy about acting. I wanted to become a hero after watching the film ‘Arya’. I’m the nephew of Chota K Naidu garu. So I thought that I needn’t struggle for opportunities. But after attending several auditions I understood how difficult it is to become a hero. We are dedicating this film for Ravi Shankar garu. I’m dedicating my performance for my grandmother (Ammamma). The entire crew is experienced except me. This is a special movie for me along with being a high-budget film in my career. Gandhi did a wonderful job. There are three songs in the film. Ramana Gogula’s music is special attraction to the film.”
Heroine Rakul Preeth Singh said, “I played the girl Prarthana, who is very stingy. A silly fight between a boy and a girl in a train journey will entertain all. I’m very happy for having worked with senior technicians. Opportunities like this are very rare. ‘Venkatadri Express’ is a special movie.”
Director Merlapaaka Gandhi said, “I entered this field with the encouragement given by my mother. We are dedicating this film to Ravi Shankar Prasad. I can’t forget producer Kiran’s encouragement and Chota garu’s support. Ramana Gogula’s musi is excellent. We were able to make this film as it is with the support rendered by my direction department. I became a director only due to Sundeep.”
Ramana Gogula said, ‘Songs are fantastically picturized. I’m very happy for working with a great team.”
Bellamkonda Suresh, Anil Sunkara and others also spoke on the audio function and expressed their wish to see the film’s success.
