The much awaited audio of ‘1’ in Mahesh Babu-Devisri Prasad-Sukumar combination is finally out.
It was a grand audio launch event held uniquely for the first time in Telugu industry. The audio event was screened live in 25 theaters. Five locations were selected for releasing five songs – Vijayawada, Warangal, Vizag, Karnool and Rajahmundry. Each song was launched by one of Mahesh’s fans from each location selected in a lucky dip. They also got the opportunity to put questions to Mahesh Babu, Sukumar and Devisri Prasad. Jhansi hosted the show. Super star Krishna, super star Mahesh Babu, little super star Gautham, Namrata, Sukumar, Devisri Prasad, Sudheer Babu, Sanjay Swaroop, Eros International Executive Vice-chairman Sunil Ullal, Wave Cellphone Manohar Nayudu, story writer Hari Prasad, lyricst Chandra Bose, heroine Kriti Sanon, cameraman Ratnavelu, fight master Peter Hynes, Sreenu Vaitla, Boyapati Sreenu, Srikanth Addala, G Aadi Seshagiri Rao, Gemini Kiran, N V Prasad, Multi-dimension Vasu, industrialist Galla Jayadev and others. 14 Reels Entertainment CEOs Ram Achanta, Gopi Achanta and Anil Sunkara, also the producers of ‘1’ – Nenokkadine invited the guests on to the dias with the flower bouquets. The event started off with a classical dance welcoming the guests followed by the songs launch in different locations and then the CDs launch. The big CD was unveiled by Gautham Krishna and presented to Sreenu Vaitla. ‘1’ audio is being marketed by Lahari Music.
Super star Krishna said, “Films in general create records only after releasing in theaters. But ‘1’ Nenokkadine already created record even before its release. This film did such a huge business which no other film did so far in the history of Telugu cinema. Mahesh focused on this film for one year and worked very hard. Sukumar did a fantastic job. Producers Ram, Gopi and Anil too produced it with high production values without compromising anywhere. The songs are very thrilling while listening in bits. ‘1’ that created records even before its release will definitely create more records after its release and stand as No. 1 film in the industry. Mahesh got introduced through the film ‘Poratam’ and now Gautham is getting introduced at the same age through ‘1’. So Gautham requires your blessings just the way you encouraged me and Mahesh.”
Industrialist Galla Jayadev said, “Krishna garu delivered super hit with ‘No. 1’ movie. I wish super star Mahesh’s ‘1’ to also become a big hit. Mahesh was 13 when I got married. I’m a huge fan of him just like others. I wish this film to become a biggest hit and become a No. 1 film.”
Chandra Bose commented, “Super star Mahesh ‘1’ chitraniki Nenokkadine patalu rasanu.” “My favourite song is ‘Who are you’. I thank Sukumar for telling me the concept and making me write few wonderful lines. Similarly I also thank Devi for rendering superb tune. Similarly I thank Mahesh for giving me several suggestions and encouraging me.”
Srikanth Addala said, “I like to be called as Mahesh Babu’s fan rather than a director. That’s how I was able to show him in ‘Seetamma Vakitlo…’ the way I wanted to see him. After the completion of that film, super star Mahesh solved one of my family problems. I can never forget the strength given to me at that time. I worked for Sukumar’s second film ‘Arya’. He is a hard worker and thinks creatively. He has the capacity to tell within 10 minutes on how to shoot montage scenes. When ‘Arya 2’ became a hit, I patted on his shoulder and appreciated his work. 14 Reels producers Ram, Gopi and Anil are passionate producers. I’m sure ‘1’ will take them to the next level.”
Boyapati Sreenu said, “Hats off to Mahesh’s vision for his idea to telecast live in all areas to comfort his fans. All fans should feel proud to be Mahesh’s fans. Similarly he is also a very lucky person. ‘1’ is really ‘Nenokkadine’, all in one Mahesh. Everyone knows that he is a No. 1 hero. I wish this film to truly bring a festive mood for Sankranthi.”
Cameraman Ratnavelu said, “I’m doing this film after ‘Robo’. I’m a huge fan of Mahesh. This is my third film with Sukumar. ‘1’ is perfect than what we expected.”
Fight master Peter Hynes said, “I was thrilled by Sukumar’s story narration. This story is very close to my real life. I got inspired by the story and worked for this film.”
Heroine Kriti Sanon said, “I consider myself lucky to get the opportunity to work with super star Mahesh in my very first film. Mahesh garu is a superb actor, down to earth person. He gave me a lot of suggestions. I hope this film will become a huge success.”
Sreenu Vaitla said, “14 Reels’ Ram, Gopi and Anil are my friends. I know about their passion for films. It’s only with their support I was able to direct ‘Dookudu’ so well. They had put in lot of efforts and took this film also to high range with their support. They also planned differently to promote this film. Sukumar has a different style. ‘1’ has created lot of expectations. I’m sure they will reach those expectations. All films in the combination of Sukumar and Devisri are musical hits. Devi rendered wonderful music for ‘1’ also and not to forget his re-recording work. Patience is the main inbuilt weapon for Mahesh. That has become reason for several great films. I wish ‘1’ to become a big hit and create several records in the industry and we will cross those records with ‘Aagadu’.”
Sukumar said, “Devisri Prasad and I worked together for five films. Our ideas are so similar that if Sukumar turns a music director, he will be like Devisri Prasad. He rendered extraordinary music for this film. Cameraman Ratnavelu made the film look different in every frame and shot. He loved Mahesh and did this film with full concentration. Peter Hynes is a very good technician. Producer Ram, Gopi and Anil made this film with lot of patience. I’m very very happy to work with them. Fans always wanted to see Mahesh in a different look and Mahesh will be introduced to them in a very different look. He had changed his body language and moulded himself to the character perfectly in ‘1’. Chandra Bose wrote every song in different style. I narrated the story to Mahesh in a coffee shop in Goa where a loud music was played. After I narrated the story with tension, he called me over phone after half an hour and okyed it. While shooting a scene recently, he recollected the story which I narrated to him two years ago and asked why I changed it. I was shocked at his memory power. So that time I felt ‘Yes’, he is the only ‘1’. Even professionals will wear a jacket and drive the boat. But Mahesh did it without a jacket courageously. That’s super star Mahesh. Yes, he is only ‘1’. ‘1’ Nenokkadine title is perfect for Mahesh as well as the story. I’m very happy for working with him. Coming to his son Gautham, initially I was little tensed about his performance as a superstar’s son. But he gave me a shock by doing his part in single take. He was perfect in dubbing as well. ‘1’ in the combination of this father and son will be a double bonanza to fans.”
Superstar Mahesh Babu said, “We are releasing the trailer on December 25th. Today is a very happy day as our entire unit waited for this day to come. I met Devi several times. Although we wanted to work together, it some how did not materialize. I’m very happy to work in Sukumar-Devi combination. Thanks to him for composing beautiful music. I got very excited and thrilled when Sukumar narrated ‘1’ story. Hats off to his ideas and concept. ‘1’ Nenokkadine will be my career best film. When I listened to story, I thought that the director will take care of everything and make my job easy. However I had to really work hard to mould my body by doing lot of excersises for the character I played in this film. We worked hard for two years and did this film. Peter Hynes worked very hard for this film. While shooting in London after completing a shot in the morning, he asked me to jump from a building that same afternoon. When I said it’s difficult, he immediately jumped and showed me. So followed the same. Everyone are asking why I’m not doing dances. In this film Prem Rakshit is the single card choreographer. I’m sure everyone will like my dances in this film. Similarly Chandra Bose is a single card lyricist. Thanks for his enthusiasm. I feel proud to introduce Gautham through ‘1’. He thinks that he performed better than me. Without Ram, Gopi and Anil as producers for this film, situation for Sukumar and me would have definitely been different. I’m scared to even think about that. But they made this film witout compromising in expenditure. They also did business in the same range. I’m very happy to have them as my producers. Thanks to Eros for releasing ‘1’ worldwide. Ratnavelu met me two days after Sukumar narrated the story to me. He is one of the best cameramen in India. He travelled with us for two years by leaving other offers. His work is mind-blowing. Kriti Sanon did an excellent job despite being new to acting. So far you have been supporting me and encouraging me in whatever film I did. I do know how to thank you all. So I raise both of hands together as a mark of respect. We have done whatever we needed to do. Now it’s up to you to decide. I wish the coming Sankranti will be a grand festival. ‘1’ that’s one way. I wish your love and support will continue like this forever.”
