Sundeep Kishan started off his film career as an assistant director to Gautham Menon before making his acting debut with ‘Sneha Geetham’ and continued his journey doing films in different languages like ‘Prasthanam’ in Telugu, ‘Shor In The City’ in Hindi, ‘Yaruda Mahesh’ in Tamil and a bilingual film ‘Gundello Godari/Maranthen Mannithen’ which is ready for release in early December. But before that Sundeep is all set to appear on big screen with a youthful love story ‘Routine Love Story’, releasing on November 23rd. He was also seen briskly promoting the film as part of film marketing process. At this juncture he spoke to the media on Tuesday and shared his views on his upcoming films. Few excerpts are:

I’m very lucky to get the opportunity to exhibit my acting skills in the very beginning of my career.  Hence I was able to prove myself as a goodSundeep Kishan Interview actor.  My previous movie ‘Prasthanam’ opened to theaters two years ago after which I did five films.  All have lined up for release one after the other.

Post ‘Prasthanam’ I was offered only antagonist roles.  Hence while waiting for a good story to do a male lead role, I got good break with ‘Shorin the City’.  That had fetched me opportunities for male lead roles in Telugu.  I did a Tamil movie ‘Yaruda Mahesh’ as well.  Now ‘I’m playing a very important role in Manchu Lakshmi’s ‘Gundello Godari’ which is also being dubbed into Tamil as ‘Maranthen Mannithen’.  I’m very glad that I was able to get work experience in three different languages at the beginning of my career.

‘Routine Love Story’ is a different kind of love story, more likely to infect than effect. My character Sanju in ‘Routine Love Story’ is very close to my heart.  Sanju is a very funny guy, whose thinking process and behavior would give wholesome entertainment to the audience.  The director was just more than beautiful in crafting this movie universally that it will connect well with youth as well as the elders.  Mickey J Meyer’s music is the main strength to the film.

I love to do roles that are uncommon.  I’m confident that ‘Gundello Godari’ will earn me a good name as much as I got through ‘Prasthanam’.  I played a village boy in this film.

I’m currently working for the movie ‘D for Dopidi’.  It’s a mix of crime and entertainment.  ‘Shor in the City’ directors Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK are making this Telugu movie.  I personally love to do roles that provide entertainment.  I’m aiming at solo hero oriented stories.  I would certainly do movies in Hindi also provided I come across good scripts.
