With the blessings of Dasari Padma, Dasari Narayana Rao is coming out with the film titled ‘Erra Bassu’, starring Vishnu Manchu and Catherine Tresa, which is being made as 151st film under Taraka Prabhu Films banner in his own direction. Apart from producing and directing the film, Dasari Narayana Rao also played an important role in the film. Prominent music composer Chakri has rendered excellent tunes for the film and he got the credit of providing music for 100 films through this film. The recently released audio is a big success. The film has completed all formalities and is arriving theaters on 14th of November. On this occasion Manchu Vishnu took some time to chat with the media about his upcoming release ‘Erra Bassu’. Here are the excerpts:

How did ‘Erra Bassu’ started?
When I was in America, one fine day Dasari uncle called me and said that he is giving a gift to me. And he said that he is giving me an opportunity to act alongside with him. When I asked my father, he readily agreed without hesitation. After coming here, I listened to the story and we went ahead.

How was your acting experience with Dasari Narayana Rao?
Well, really good experience. Our ability will come out and the output and result is understood when we work with such an experienced person. My acting in the entire film is one side and his acting in the climax scene is another side. The total credit goes to him. I’ve taken some gap and performed in the climax scene to suit his style of acting.

What is the reason behind choosing the title ‘Erra Bassu’?
In general, we used to say ‘Erra Bassu ekki Vachhadura…’ when anyone does wrongs. In the story, my grandfather Dasari Narayana Rao comes to Hyderabad from a village. The story is about the troubles faced by him. Therefore we have chosen the title. The title is very much apt to the story.

What character did you play in the film?
I played a grandson role who was torn between his girlfriend and his grandfather.

What are the changes you made to this when compared to Tamil film?
Yeah! We made many changes to suit our nativity. We have made changes to climax as well.

How was your working experience under Dasari Narana Rao’s direction?
He is a star director in the film industry. Dasari Narayana Rao needs no special introduction everyone know him better than me. He has already created trend.

Tell us about Catherine’s role.
She had played a dominated girlfriend role. She is a good professional actress. I felt very comfortable while acting with her. She is a nice co-star.

Tell us about Chakri’s music?
This is my 4th film with Chakri. ‘Suryam’, ‘Dhee’, ‘Denikaina Ready’ and now ‘Erra Bassu’. He has provided excellent music for the film. Each and every song carries emotional feel. Meanwhile, re-recording work is also wonderful. Audio has got tremendous response.

Which scene you felt it was difficult?
Climax will be the highlight for the film. I have worked hard for the climax scene. The first half of the film goes on in an out and out comedy mode and second half will be withS emotions.

How is Devakatta’s film going to be?
It’s an out and out action entertainer. It is also the remake of a super hit Tamil film ‘Arima Nambi’. And it is being made under our own production house. We are making some changes to suit our nativity.

Tell us about ‘Singam 123’ film which is doing with Sampoornesh Babu.
I’m producing ‘Singam 123’ film with Sampoornesh Babu. No one is properly using his comedy angle. You will see the comedy angle in him in ‘Singam 123’.

Finally, tell us about the film ‘Erra Bassu’.
It’s a complete family entertainer and can be watched by the whole family together. The story of the film is well blended with comedy and emotions and it touches the hearts of every audience. I feel it as a privilege to act in ‘Erra Bassu’.
