'Sasi', starring Aadi Saikumar in the lead, will release on March 19. In this interview, the female lead Surabhi talks about her role in the film, working with Aadi Saikumar, her readiness for glamorous roles and more.

The director gave me a narration for 3.5 years. By the end of the narration, I was thrilled. 'Sasi' is a love story with a lot of emotions, intensity and family values. It's like a package.

There is a lot of scope for my performance in the movie. I like to do roles that have a certain relevance to the story. I connected with the character in 'Sasi'. She is the only daughter of her possessive parents. In real life, too, I am the only daughter. I could relate to the father's protective nature.

The love story in 'Sasi' is more of a rugged love story. You have seen Aadi Saikumar in the trailer. Some experiences in life have determined his get-up and outlook. My character has got a group of friends, who bully domineering and over-smart men.

'Sasi' is a mature love story. It gets more emotional towards the climax. Every character in the film has got a lot of importance. My father is played by Rajeev Kanakala garu.

Aadi belongs to a musical background in the film. He loves to sing and play the guitar. I am a girl who wants to marry the person she loves. How love starts with friendship is interesting in the film.

Two of the songs from the movie have got humongous response. The tunes are in keeping with the mood of the film. Vennela Kishore and Viva Harsha have got hilarious roles in the film.

During our Vizag schedule of 'Sasi', we went very far away into the sea in a boat. It was too hot and it was not easy to get the right shots. Thanks to the cinematographer, he shot the scenes very nicely.

I am debuting in Kannada with 'Sakkat', which stars Golden Star Ramesh. I am looking forward to the right opportunities. I have done around 13 films across Telugu and Tamil. I will be focusing more on Telugu as well. I am not yet dubbing for my characters as yet.

I really want to do glamorous roles. I played an ultra-glamorous role in 'Voter', which was not promoted properly. Due to some issues, it didn't get a proper release. I want to try out all genres, including the mythological genre.
