Natyam’ is a short film - it’s a story of a talented marital woman Kalyani’s dream that would have faded away if not for her grit to make it real. The movie is about her journey to attain excellence in the art of Kuchupudi Dance she loves the most.

Woman empowerment projects inspire Kirtilals jewellers more deeply. They found a perfect way to promote it through a young filmmaker Revanth’s short film ‘Natyam’ which speaks about the struggle of Kalyani to achieve artistic excellence through her passion for Kuchupudi.
A sneak-peek of ‘Natyam’ which was released today shows a young, devoted married woman Kalyani’s journey to realise her dream to accomplish Kuchupudi dance excellence amidst family conflict. It is an absorbing tale that never lets anyone slip away throughout its run time.
The clips from the short film Natyam was launched by the female lead of the film Sandhya Raju and Socialist Pinky Reddy, in presence of well known play back singer Sunitha, Kuchupudi Artist Alekhya, Fashionista Shilpa Reddy along with Suraj Shantakumar of Kiritilals.

The glimpse of film Natyam highlights the crisp editing and stellar performance by the lead casts as well as supporting artists, promise a compelling movie to watch. The trailer is engrossing and every moment it makes you think and connect with the characters of the movie.
Well known Kuchupudi Artist Sandhya Raju, who plays the role of Kalyani portrays the internal conflict between external comforts and thirst to pursue her inner passion perfectly. She flawlessly sinks into the role and transforms herself into this mythical Kuchupudi beauty while her co-star adapted well to his role as a husband who is determined to make his wife’s dream come true.
“I wanted to be part of this brilliantly scripted short film by Revanth, because the subject is veiy close to my heart as a Kuchupudi artist, what I liked the most is the narrative is centered on a women’s desire and a social question faced by most of all married woman in a thought-provoking manner. I felt the story will inspire many women who relates to the role played in the film by me.” Sandhya Raju says.
Young aspiring filmmaker Revanth says, “Natyam” is an inspirational story of Kalyani told in forty minutes. WHAT IS THE MOVIE NATYAM ABOUT?
'Natyam' revolves around the central character named Kalyani. Kalyani is a married woman who gets occupied by the responsibilities that a marriage brings into her life and gives up her passion to dance post marriage.
It's a story that depicts the internal conflict between external comforts and thirst for her passion. She communicates these conflicts with her father through letters. Accidentally one day she encounters a remembrance from the past that encourages her to pursue her passion again.
In this process she has to discover her old self in her new life which takes her into a new revelation of the impact dance has not just to her life but her happiness. Does she have enough perseverance to follow her passion? Does she communicate this new revelation with her dad? Natyam captures this interesting journey of Kalyani and answers these questions.
ABOUT DIRECTOR - REVANTH KORUKONDA
Revanth Korukonda - is a budding film maker who believes movies are a strong medium to showcase compelling, inspiring stories that carry a strong social message. His quest as a film maker is to excel in introducing genre that are inspirational, thought provoking and are driven by very subtle & sensitive emotions.
As a child he was mesmerized by the art of story writing which eventually transformed into a passion for movie direction. He followed his passion with a master's degree in film making from University of Missouri -Columbia. Post-graduation, he returned back to Hyderabad and worked as an assistant director for two years, while parallel whetting his creativity with cute and innovative short films that became very popular in you tube. Revanth has also directed few cooperative ads for popular telugu channels. He is currently directing this independent movie 'Natyam'

Sandhya Raju is a young Kuchipudi artist who represents the next generation of Indian classical dancers. With 12 years of training under Gurus Padma Bhushan Vempati Chinna
Satyam and Kishore Mosalikanti and 8 years performing experience, Sandhya has been performing several solo and group recitals across India and abroad. Her pinnacle role was that of Lord Krishna in the dance drama 'Gopika Krishna' choreographed by Guru Vempati Chinna Satyam. Apart from teaching at Nishrinkala, Sandhya also owns and manages Barefoot Dance Company in Hyderabad.
