As festival season draws to a close, plenty of promising films line up for release and one among them is ‘Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum’ opening in theaters worldwide on November 30th.  This Krish’s much-anticipated follow-up to his ‘Gamyam’ and ‘Vedam’ features RanaNayantara Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum Daggubati as B Tec Babu and Nayantara as Devika, a documentary filmmaker. Inline with recent controversial national issues like Coalgate, director Krish, this time took the subject of displacement of villagers from their lands due to land mining and depicts how the hero fights against it.  This Telugu/Tamil bilingual film written by Krish himself is a full-fledged entertainer with enough of commercial elements.

‘Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum’ ( KVJ) has many attractions like fresh pair Rana Daggubati-Nayantara, Mani Sharma’s music in Krish’s combination, Rana in Lord Narasimha Swamy get-up in a special song, Venkatesh-Rana sharing silver screen for the first time (though it’s for few minutes), Sameera Reddy’s item song and above all Nayantara dubbed her own voice for the first time in Telugu.

Rana Krishnam Vande JagadgurumAfter portraying the role of a romantic chap in ‘Naa Ishtam’ and aggressive police cop in ‘Department’, Rana, the actor who’s hungry to explore different roles, played B Tec Babu who works for Surabhi Drama Company in KVJ. Altogether Rana has portrayed three entirely different roles in 2012.  Similarly, the character Nayantara played in KVJ is a dramatic contrast to her previous role in ‘Sri Ramarajyam’.  However the actress is said to have played a crucial role in this film as well and is expected to receive critical acclaims for her performance in this film too.  KVJ will introduce Milind Gunaji in the role of antagonist to Telugu audience.

The film is titled ‘Ongaram’ in Tamil and the role played by Dr Brahmanandam in Telugu is essayed by the popular comedian Santhanam in Tamil.  Other prominent star cast in supporting roles is Kota Srinivas Rao, Posani Krishna Murali, L B Sriram, Raghu Babu, Satyam Rajesh, Hema and Kishore.

KVJ has cinematography by V S Gnanasekhar.  The Telugu audiences have already seen his stunning camera work in ‘Vedam’,Krish Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum hence Krish seemed to have no second thought to team up with him once again for this film.  Music Brahma Mani Sharma needs no introduction. When it comes to action part, Rana was trained in martial arts by fight master Vijayan.  Rana’s new love “six pack body” adds spice to the role.

After winning several awards for his debut film ‘Gamyam’, Saibabu Jagarlamudi, father of director Krish aka Radhakrishna Jagarlamudi, this time joined hands with Y Rajeev Reddy to produce KVJ under First Frame Entertainment banner.  While 7 Seas Inc is distributing the film at overseas, D Suresh Babu has recently bought the Nizam rights.  The film obtained U/A certificate with few cuts and set for global release on November 30th.  So get ready to watch this promising film coming soon to a theatre near you.
