LEADER in overseas distribution FICUS have acquired the USA and Canada theatrical rights of the PowerStar Pawan Kalyan's “KOMARAM PULI".
Pawan Kalyan is playing the role of a cop in the movie. Nikisha Patel, who is making her debut in Telugu Cinema, is playing the lead female role. The other star cast of the movie includes Manoj Bajpai, Charan Raj, Nassar, Jyothi Krishna, Saranya, Brahmaji, Ali, V M C Haneefa and Girish Karnad.
Oscar recipient A R Rehman is scoring music.
Binod Pradhan is an acclaimed Indian cinematographer whose creative visuals and cutting-edge imagery have left their mark on Indian cinema handling the camera for PULI. Some his award winning works include Devdas, Rang De Basanti, Mission Kashmir, Munna Bhai M.B.B.S and Dhoom-2.
Puli directed by S.J. Surya who previously directed Khushi with Pawan Kalyan which was a blockbuster. Komaram is taken from the surname of the Gond martyr Komaram Bheem who fought against the erstwhile Asaf Jahi dynasty for the liberation of Hyderabad State.
Movie is getting ready for May 2010 release.
