Sneha's name was suggested by Fazil Nnazeem to Anil-Babu, who was looking for a fresh face for his romantic film Ingane Oru Nilapakshi.
This film marked her 2000 debut, playing the part of an amateur dancer, and performed seven classical songs in the film.
She made her Tamil film debut in 2000 with the film Ennavale appeared opposite Madhavan. For her eye-catching success, she was praised and earned herself several acclaims. Sneha acted in a film named Aanandham the same year, and this film, too, was a big success.
Achchamundu Achchamundu, a suspense thriller film where she was paired opposite Prasanna, received several cheers for grappling with the brave concept of paedophiles and stealing of the womb.
