Arvind Swamy was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu state , India, on 18th June 1970. He is an Indian Film Actor and is known for his role in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Bollywood films as a television presenter, singer, voice artist and business person.
Personal Life:
He was born to C.V.S.Vasantha and V. D. Swami. Arvind Swamy was raised in a well Enterprenuer family . He finished high school from Sishya School and from Don Bosco School in Chennai. He studied at the renowned Loyola College in Chennai. For further studies, he graduated with a Master's Degree in International Business from Wake Forest University in the US.
Career:
The acting was just his interest and he never worried of a future in acting. In 1991 he made his debut with Mani Ratnam's Tamil movie Thalapathi. His next film is Roja, in which he played the lead, was a great success and earned him the best actor's Tamil Nadu State Award.
Three years later he worked again in his Bombay project with Mani Ratnam. This movie too scored super hit at the box office and made him an established Tamil film industry star.
Besides Tamil, he has also featured in multiple language films such as, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam. In 1997, he made his Bollywood debut with the movie titled Saat Rang Ke Sapne.
He was next seen in the year 2000, Raja Ko Rani Se Pyar Ho Gaya starrer film by Aamir Khan. After that, he took some break from acting to fulfill his Business commitments.
He served as the director and chairman of InterPro Global and Prolease India until 2005. He also set up his own business named Talent Maximus in India which was engaged in temporary hiring and payroll processing.
He made a comeback in performing with the Tamil film Sasanam in 2006 but for the next 5-6 years, he was sidelined by an injury and returned with Mani Ratnam's Kadal in 2013. Since then, he has consistently been featured in Tamil films.
