The new trend of adding marital surnames to their maiden surnames is being followed by actresses today. In lines with this, we have noticed actresses like Malaika Arora, Aishwarya Rai and Kareena Kapoor changing their screen names as Malaika Arora Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Kareena Kapoor Khan. So following their footsteps the recently married Vidya Balan too changed her screen name as Vidya Balan Roy Kapoor. The actress tied the knot with Siddharth Roy Kapoor, CEO of UTV Motion Pictures, four months ago in both traditional ways (Tamil and Punjabi). Vidya joined the film shoots soon after her marriage. Bollywood reports claim that she had already decided to change her screen name in her upcoming films and also requested her filmmakers to give a new name as
Vidya Balan Roy Kapoor in the titles. Vidya has completed the shooting for ‘Ghanchakkar’ opposite Emraan Hashmi and currently filming for ‘Shaadi Ke Side Effects’ with Farhan Aktar.
