Director Krish Honored With KV Reddy Award

KV Reddy Award presentation ceremony was held in Hyderabad in a grand level on February 22 by Yuva Kala Vahini. Director Krish was given an award for his contribution to Telugu cinema by the Tamil Nadu state governor, K Rosaiah. Speaking at the event Rosaiah said, “Even though, director Krish has made very few films, all films of him are popular. All his film will stand out forever in the hearts of Telugu audience.”

“KV Reddy is the top director who brought good recognition to Telugu cinema. Sitarama Sastry. Present generation director should learn from yesteryear Telugu films stood as reference books to the world cinema. Receiving KV Reddy award is like getting lifetime achievement award. I wish Krish will bring many more good films with this raised responsibility,” said Sirivennela Seetarama Shastry.

Speaking on the occasion, Krish said, “There is a dialogue in KV Reddy garu’s films that is ‘Janam Choosede Manam Seyyala’. He followed the same theory in his real life. So far we have no film which can give perfect competition to ‘Mayabazar’ and no commercial hero beyond Thotaramudu. With the inspiration of KV Reddy garu, I will go ahead without doing mistakes.”

KV Reddy’s son K Ramachandra Reddy, Dr. KV Krishna Kumari, Geethanjali, Tammareddy Bharadwaja, Burra Sai Madhav, JB Raju, '‘andhya Film’ Ravi Kanakala and YK Nageswara Rao were present at the event organised by Saripalli Kondalarao. ‘Sruthilaya Arts Academy’ Amani as presenter, Chalana Chitra Music Performance has entertained guests.
