Naga Shaurya and Sai Pallavi starrer ‘Kanam’ has wrapped up shooting part and the pre-release event is going to be held on March 5 in Hyderabad. The release date of the film will also be announced on the same stage. Naga Shaurya and Sai Pallavi are the lead cast. Tamil director AL Vijay is directing this Telugu-Tamil bilingual film under Lyca Productions banner. NVR Cinema is the presenter. The film is said to be a horror drama.
Sai Pallavi, delineating her characterisation in ‘Kanam’, said, “Thanks to audience for making ‘Fidaa’ and ‘MCA’ grand success. The film showcases the bond between a mother and her daughter. I always try to give perfect justice to my role which I chooses. When Vijay garu narrated me the script and explained the mother role and emotional bonding, I was apprehensive at first. Why because, I have never touched such role so far in my career. Vijay garu and I, together discussed much about the story. I have spent lot of time with Veronika Arora, who played my daughter. We both went into the skin our characters. All the emotions which you see in the film looks very natural. Director Vijay garu has given lot of support. He is perfectly aware of what he wants and therefore it will become easy for any actor to do their work.”
She added, “Initially, I felt that it would be nice if the sequences which comes between mother and daughter should be loud. But, Vijay garu would say that it should be natural. Sometimes I would also say to Vijay garu that he is not allowing me to act in my style (Sai Pallavi chuckled while saying this). I understood his contemplation while doing dubbing works. As an artist, the film ‘Kanam’ is very special to me. I loved my role in the film.”
