After 'Acharya', one more big-ticket Summer release stands postponed. Venkatesh today announced that 'Narappa' will not release on May 14. The reason is obvious. The pandemic is surging and the makers have made the decision keeping in view the "health and safety of the beloved audience."

"In lieu of the pandemic, #Narappa will not be releasing on May 14th. A new theatrical date will be announced once we overcome this unprecedented crisis," Venkatesh tweeted out.

Describing the situation in the country as turbulent, he said that the film will be brought before the audience when the time is ripe.

The 'Asuran' remake features Priyamani as Venky's wife and Karthik Ratnam's as his son. Also starring Rao Ramesh, it has Peter Heins mounting action scenes.
