'Bangarraju', starring Akkineni Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya, went on the floors on Wednesday. Directed by Kalyan Krishna Kurasala, the film is a sequel to 'Soggade Chinni Nayana'. This is the father-son duo's first outing together since 'Manam', the 2014 hit. Annapurna Studios has joined hands with Zee Studios for the big-ticket movie.
If Ramya Krishna is Nag's pair, 'Uppena' beauty Krithi Shetty is playing the 'Majili' actor's romantic interest in the movie. Anup Rubens is back, while Yuvaraj is the director of photography.
Written by Satyanand, the film is touted to be a complete entertainer. "The script is full of romantic, emotional and other commercial elements," the makers said.
Chalapathi Rao, the versatile Rao Ramesh, 'Thimmarusu' actor Brahmaji, ace comedian Vennela Kishore and TV anchor Jhansi are part of the cast. Brahma Kadali is on board to take care of art direction.
