Sunshine OTT, which has been an established streaming platform in Malaysia, has tied up with the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce to launch an OTT for multi-lingual content in India. On Monday, an event was held to make the announcement.
The founder Nagasiva Prasad Bollu met with TFCC representatives and addressed a joint presser on the occasion. "Since the pandemic lockdown, OTTs have gained currency like anything. I have researched the subject (viewership, revenues, etc) for two years. We are going to release content not only in Telugu but also other major languages. We have developed a bank of about 1000 movies. And Originals are also being made. The content will cater to audience of all age groups. We are going to launch Sunshine OTT in a grand manner soon," Bollu said.
TFCC Chairman Dr. Patrani Ramakrishna Goud said that short films and web series will also be brought out by Sunshine. He added that there is a need for films to make use of the OTT culture to perk up their revenues.
