Prakash Raj enjoys a golden month at the box office

Prakash Raj, for a number of years, didn't have much going for him in different languages. But this month has been a lucky one for the versatile character artist.

In Telugu, two films featuring him became a hit: 'Bimbisara' and 'Sita Ramam'. Of course, they didn't have him in prominent roles. But a character artist needs to be seen in hit films in quick succession. It goes a long way in building sentiment.

And, just a week after the two Telugu hits, he was seen in the Tamil film 'Viruman', starring Karthi in the lead. This week's Tamil release 'Thiruchitrabalam' has Prakash Raj in an important role, as Dhanush's father. The film is titled 'Thiru' in Telugu.

Commenting on Prakash Raj's role in the two Kollywood films, journalist Ram Venkat Srikar wrote, "Prakash RAj is nailing it with his range like it is 2007 (when 'Pokkiri' and 'Mozhi' released in consecutive months) all over again. He is brilliant in 'Viruman' and 'Thiruchitrabalam', playing diametrically opposite characters in films that released a week apart. King!"

Looks like Prakash Raj is going to be talked about by the audience once again!
