'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' saves Bollywood's self-respect

Bollywood has been shamed by Bollywood commentators for getting swamped by South Indian blockbusters 'KGF 2' and 'RRR'. Its big-hero films starring the likes of Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar haven't made huge monies in the pandemic era.

Finally, the Hindi film industry has covered itself in glory. 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2', the horror-comedy film that was released in theatres this Friday, is doing very well. It has amassed the biggest non-holiday opening-day collections in the pandemic era by netting Rs 13-15 Cr in India on Friday.

Importantly, it has pulled this off with the least average ticket price in both national multiplex chains and single screens among all recent Hindi films.

Directed by Anees Bazmee and written by Aakash Kaushik, the film stars Kartik Aaryan, Tabu, Kiara Advani, Rajpal Yadav and others.
