'Arjun Reddy' maker Sandeep Reddy Vanga got saved!

'Animal', directed by 'Arjun Reddy' director Sandeep Vanga, was supposed to be released in theatres on August 11. In the first week of July, the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer was postponed to December 1.

Film observers are of the view that the director is lucky that his film got postponed. Had it been released on August 11 and if the 'word of mouth' was average, it would have been easily crushed by Sunny Deol's monstrous blockbuster 'Gadar 2'.

'Gadar 2' has minted more than Rs 30 Cr (Nett.) in India for six consecutive days. This is a unique record-setting figure in the history of Indian cinema. 'Animal' would have been affected to a great degree for sure. Even Akshay Kumar's 'OMG 2' might have resulted in some negative results for 'Animal' if the latter was released to a mixed 'word of mouth'.

The career of Sandeep Reddy Vanga depends a lot on 'Animal'. How much budget will be spent on Prabhas' 'Spirit' will be determined by the box-office performance of 'Animal'. The director must really thank his stars!
