The Santosham South Indian Film Awards 2023 event was held in Goa the other day. On Sunday, a few Sandalwood film celebs said that they faced insult and humiliation during the conduct of the event under the aegis of senior journalist and publisher Suresh Kondeti.
"The event, which started well, was abruptly halted when it was the Kannada film industry's turn to receive awards. The organizers switched off the lights as soon as Kannada actor-director Ramesh Aravind took the stage. The actors who attended the event had no accommodations arranged. Celebrity personalities and filmmakers from Sandalwood faced difficulties checking out of the hotel as the organizers hadn't paid the bills and had locked the rooms," A Shraddha, a journalist, reported. Her report has been quote-tweeted by a few Sandalwood celebs.
Among those who were allegedly insulted are 'Kantara' heroine Sapthami Gowda. As per reports, the police had to intervene to sort out issues at the hotel.
