'Adipurush' was released in theatres on June 16. The epic Hindu mythological movie turned out to be a flop in all languages. The losses in Hindi and Telugu are huge.

In a statement today, the film's dialogue writer Manoj Muntashir tendered an apology for "hurting the religious sentiments" of the people. "I accept people's emotions have been hurt by our movie. With folded hands, I extend my unconditional apologies. May Prabhu Bajrang Bali (Lord Hanuman) keep us united and grant us strength to serve our sacred Sanatan and our great nation," he wrote on social media.

Days after the release of the Prabhas-starrer, the writer happened to say that each dialogue in the movie was written after so much consideration and rigorous evaluation. He also tried to mislead the public by claiming that 'Adipurush' is not Ramayana but only an inspired copy of the Hindu epic.
