Writer-producer Kona Venkat has been an entrepreneur in his own right. He has now collaborated with Deepthi Ravula, the CEO of WeHUB, to start a live dry-cleaning and garment care store in Hyderabad's Jubilee Hills. What makes this a unique venture is the fact that it is the first of its kind in southern India.
Named the Laundry House, the store is powered by thorough research that is meant to herald the best processes and techniques to take care of the diverse needs of its customers. "This is a predominantly women-owned and women-run store with at least 50% women on the staff," said the promoters.
"Not just clothes but also bags, shoes, carpets, and curtains will be serviced here. We are proud to provide this state-of-the-art, safe and best way to clean your garments," the promoters added. Besides high-quality machines and standardized chemicals, the best packing materials have been put in place.
Speaking about the store, Deepthi Ravula said that well-trained professionals have been roped in. "From machine operations, stain and spot cleaning, handwashing techniques, foam finisher machine, steam ironing, and garment packaging to others, everything will be carried out to the highest satisfaction of our clients," the promoters said.
What is the brand's track record?
The brand has a presence in more than eight cities. So far, more than 20 stores have been set up. More than six tons of clothes have been processed successfully. A loyal customer base of more than 60,000 has been cultivated successfully.
