'Mr. Bachchan' ended up in a disaster. It was released on August 15 with the hope that collections would soar during the extended weekend. The opposite happened. After the first weekend, the Ravi Teja-starrer entered a deficit zone.

Producer TG Vishwa Prasad has opened up about the humiliating failure of the Harish Shankar-directed remake of 'Raid' (Hindi). He opined that the script has its ups and downs, but the flaws really stood out. As per him, the weaknesses in 'Mr. Bachchan' were enough to bring it down.

That said, as per Vishwa Prasad, 'Mr. Bachchan' is not a terrible movie by any means. As per him, there is definitely some entertainment there, which is why it shouldn’t have tanked so hard. "The songs alone should have kept it going. The second half drops the ball on a few things," he added.

'Mr. Bachchan' is produced by People Media Factory. Bhagyashri Borse is its heroine. Mickey J Meyer's music is its only praiseworthy element.
