Editor Ruben has revealed that the songs in Game Changer will come trimmed. The full-length versions of the songs will not be screened in the theatrical release. Ruben mentioned that the team might plan to release the complete versions of the songs later online.
This is shocking, considering that the makers have been tom-tomming about the songs in their movie as being exceptional and lavish. Something like Rs 75 Cr to 90 Cr has been spent on the five songs. If the Editor feels that the audience can afford to miss a few portions of these songs, it says a lot about how average or below average the picturization must be. If Ram Charan found it agreeable to trim the painstakingly filmed songs, it shows how under-confident he is about them.
It's not like the running time of Game Changer is too long. The final time is 2 hours and 45 minutes. It wouldn't be a big deal if the songs were kept as they are.
Game Changer will head to theatres on January 10, 2025. The Trailer will be out on January 1.
